Industrial Education

Goals: The Industrial Arts program shall provide students with knowledge and skills that will enable them to be fully productive contributors to the technological society.  Through this program, students also come to understand themselves and their culture, thus finding some meaning and purpose for their very existence.

 

Objectives

  • Develop an understanding of the principles, concepts, and problems of industrial technology.
  • Develop an understanding of the nature and significance of materials, tools, processes, products, and occupations of our technological world and their impact upon our society.
  • Develop an appreciation of the man-made world and the products of a managed-production system, which satisfy the needs and wants of man.
  • Apply technical knowledge and techniques for effective living in situations such as recreation, consumption, occupation, and education.
