Interact Club

Purpose

The purpose of this organization, as stated in the "standard Interact Club Consitution" provided by Rotary International is:

to recognize and develop constructive leadership and personal integrity,
to encourage and practice thoughtfulness and helpfulness to others,
to create an awareness of the importance of home and family,
to build respect for the rights of others, based on recognition on the worth of each individual,
to emphasize acceptance of individual responsibility as the basis of personal success, community improvement, and group achievement,
to recognize the dignity and value of all useful occupations as opportunities to serve society,
to provide opportunities for gaining increased knowledge and understanding of community, national, and world affairs,
to open avenues of personal and group action leading to the advancement of international understanding and goodwill toward all peoples.

General Learner Outcomes

The GLOs that will be addressed by this organization are:

the understanding that it is essential for human beings to work together, and
the ability to communicate effectively.

Standards

The standard that will be addressed by this organization is : to develop skills and attributes that are critical to a person's ability to successfully navigate the world in and out of school.

Membership

Membership to this organization shall be open to all Kaimuki High School students interested in the mission and goals of the Interact Club and Rotary International.

Dues

The dues shall be $5.00 per person for the school year. Only members who have paid their dues for the school year will be included in the yearbook photo.

Meetings

The regularly scheduled meeting time for this school year shall be the first B-1 day of the first week of every month. Additional meetings will be scheduled as needed.
