Kaimuki High School provides a fun, safe, supportive, and interactive learning environment where all students can learn to rigorous standards, develop their individual talents and interests, and prepare for success in career, college, and life.

General Learner Outcomes
The General Learner Outcomes (GLO’s) shall permeate all aspects of teaching and learning with the goal of helping all students to become effective, productive citizens.
    1.    Self-directed Learner:  The ability to be responsible for one's own learning.
    2.    Community Contributor:  The understanding that it is essential for human beings to work together.
    3.    Complex Thinker:  The ability to be involved in complex thinking and problem solving.
    4.    Quality Producer:  The ability to recognize and produce quality performance and quality products.
    5.    Effective Communicator:  The ability to communicate effectively.
    6.    Effective and Ethical User of Technology:  The ability to use a variety of technologies effectively and ethically.

Hawaii's citizens and community leaders place a high priority on quality K-12 education. The Board of Education and Superintendent of the Department of Education advance this commitment toward excellence by fostering student achievement, school improvement, and community involvement in education based on higher expectations and challenging standards.

Hawaii’s public schools are institutions of learning that parents want their children to attend and students want to attend. All schools, regardless of size, are safe, nurturing learning communities where members work together and all students achieve high academic standards and become contributing members of society.
